Make Disciples Who Make Disciples

BCLR Kids Mission Statement

It is the mission of BCLR Kids to assist** the parents of BCLR members in the evangelizing and discipleship of their grade school children. We seek to provide godly instruction and godly examples to the children of BCLR infant to 6th grade, so that they might see  Christ in His Word and in us!

** By assistance, we mean that we are not attempting to either usurp or replace the God-given responsibility of parents to train and to raise their children (Deut. 6:4-7) in the “fear and admonition of the Lord” (Eph. 6:2). We are, however, committed to coming alongside parents to provide educational and other opportunities to point children to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

BCLR Awana Mission Statement

Awana seeks to provide godly instruction, godly examples, fun activities and interactions for the children of BCLR members for the purpose of calling them to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and to grow in Him. Awana also seeks to minister to those unchurched friends and neighbors of the children of the Bible Church. We welcome those who are unchurched or who come from church backgrounds in which the Gospel is not being clearly presented. While we may attempt to accommodate children from other local churches, we believe that it is the duty and responsibility of those individual, local churches to provide ministries for the purpose of ministering effectively to their own membership and families.

Member Registration

If your child is not registered by the deadline (two weeks prior to first night of Awana), a delay in attendance may occur due to leader/clubber ratio standards.

As a part of registration, every BCLR Member parent that is not serving in the Orchestra or serving in a leadership role in Student Ministry, Men’s/Women’s Ministry, or Awana are required to serve in BCLR KIDS Wednesday Night Ministry (formerly called Nursery) at least once during the Awana Ministry. It is a part of registering your child for Awana.

Non-Member Registration

If your child is not registered by the deadline (two weeks before the start date of Awana), a delay in attendance may occur due to leader/clubber ratio standards.

All non-BCLR member children will be placed on a waiting list and admitted based upon time and date of registration. Your child will be placed once the leader/clubber ratio will support their attendance. Priority will be given to those unchurched or who come from church backgrounds in which the Gospel is not being clearly presented. Payment will be withheld until placement can be guaranteed.

A non-BCLR member may serve in BCLR’s Awana ministry at the Awana Ministry Director’s discretion, along with appropriate screening and background check.

Non-BCLR members who are serving in Awana with children that require the use of BCLR KIDS Wednesday Night Ministry (formerly called Nursery) for un-potty-trained three-year-oldd and younger can use the ministry only if both parents are serving in Awana. Some exceptions may apply. Email Henri Pousardien for consideration.

Non-BCLR members will not serve in BCLR KIDS Wednesday Night Ministry.

Any child who is not in attendance for four (4) consecutive meetings forfeits their position. Some exceptions may apply at the discretion of the Awana Ministry Director.
