At BCLR we affirm the priority of spiritual leadership. The local church is to be led by a plurality of godly leaders whose role is to care for the family of God (see Functional Duties of an Elder).
Our Philosophy of Ministry regarding Church Leadership explains more about spiritual leadership in the local church.
PAUL HAMLINE was recently affirmed as the Pastor to Adult Ministries and Missions. Paul has been a member of BCLR since 2002 and an elder since 2005, having previously pastored in Missouri and overseas in East Africa. Paul received his BS in Religion from Southwest Baptist University in 1978, his M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1982, and his Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s College in 2010. He is also a certified counselor with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. The Lord blessed Paul with parents who understood God’s love for the church. God used his parents’ faithfulness to the church and the faithfulness of those who taught him God’s Word to draw Paul to Himself at an early age. It was through the regular teaching and preaching of God’s Word that the Lord opened his eyes to his sinfulness and need for repentance and salvation in Jesus Christ. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses and compassions toward Paul have created within him a passion for God and His Glory.
Paul and his wife Gail enjoy studying God’s Word, reading, hiking, bike riding, traveling and being with family. They have two children and three grandchildren.
GEORGE LAWSON joined the pastoral staff of BCLR in 2010 and oversees our Sr. and Jr. High Student Ministries. He received his B.A. from Washington Bible College in 2006 and graduated with an M. Div. from the Master’s Seminary in 2010. He began preaching in 2001 and served as the Outreach Coordinator for Hope Bible Church in Columbia MD. The Lord graciously confronted George’s hypocrisy and hope in false religion at the age of 19. Forsaking his sin and considering all things as loss, he trusted solely in Christ, not wanting a righteousness of his own derived from the law, but the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith. His heart was set free from the love of pleasure and self and set on fire with a passion for Christ and the desire to see lives transformed by the word of God, which performs its work in those who believe. George and his wife, Jennifer, have the joy of raising three children and enjoy reading, swimming, biking, and playing sports.

TIM SENN is the Pastor-Teacher of the Bible Church of Little Rock. Tim has been a member of the Pastoral team at BCLR since 1997, beginning in Student Ministries, then transitioning into Adult Ministries in June 2010. He received his B.A. from Clemson University in 1993 and his M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary in 1997. While in college, God graciously opened his spiritual eyes at the age of 19 to realize his need to be clothed in the righteousness of Christ, rather than in his own ‘filthy rags’ of self-righteousness. Since that time, his single passion has been to know Christ more and to make Him known to others. Tim and his wife, Hannah, have four children and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and riding bikes together.

AARON WILSON is the Children’s Ministry Director overseeing all ministries from the nursery to the 6th grade. He has been serving in this area for over six years, but recently joined the staff of The Bible Church in August of 2009. Aaron received his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas. He was converted at the age of 22 in the midst of a self-absorbed, sinful and godless life. He can still remember the Lord’s kind gift of repentance, allowing him to forsake his life of sin and cling to Christ as his only hope. Aaron and his wife Anita have four children and enjoy reading, photography, blogging, collecting vintage games & toys, being outdoors and taking an annual trip to Gulf Shores.
