Sunday Evening Ministry Venue
Beginning June 6, 2010
We desire to maintain the current Sunday evening ministry venue (6:15-8:00) because we see this as a time that can be both useful and strategic to ministry; and which is available to most of our church membership in their weekly schedules. The Sunday evening venue will continue to alternate between Care Groups on every other Sunday night, but will change from the corporate worship service format to: (1) Intentional Leadership Training for Men; and (2) Encouragement of membership to use this time for outreach; two ministry objectives which we believe are important to emphasize during this time in the life of our church.
1st and 3rd Sunday Evenings | Care Group Ministry
:: Switch to 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings of each month. Maintain the current time slot of 6:15 – 8:00 p.m.
2nd and 4th Sunday Evenings | Emphasis on Leadership Training and Outreach
:: Leadership Training for Men
2nd and 4th Sunday evening leadership training for men from 6:15 – 8:00 p.m.

:: Local Outreach
The church body will be encouraged to use their Sunday evenings to reach out to neighbors for evangelism, or to get involved in local community outreach ministries.
We will also encourage members to get involved in STEP, IFO and other mid-week ministries; and thus to use Sunday evenings as a “night off for margin” if so desired.
This meets a primary ministry objective of local outreach and ‘freeing up time’ for our people to devote to the purpose of evangelism.
5th Sunday Evenings
On the 5th Sunday evenings, we will have an entire church picnic or meal in which the whole church comes together for the purpose of fellowship and prayer.
This 5th Sunday evening time of fellowship and prayer will replace the 5th Sunday equipping hour corporate prayer times.
