FAQs

Who is this for? - This conference is open to everyone. For this conference, we will  teach about the importance of the Armor of God for counseling. This conference will benefit those who counsel or disciple others regularly.

What is the deadline to register? - The last day to register is Friday, October 24.

Who is the speaker? - Our speaker is Dr. J. Stephen Yuille who is originally from Canada, but lives in Glen Rose, Texas. He is the Professor of Church History and Spiritual Formation at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Stephen loves the Puritans and has authored many books, two of which are "The Great Spoil" and "The Path of Life." He and his wife, Alison, have two daughters, Laura and Emma.

Can I invite friends? - Absolutely! All are welcome.

What does it cost? - The cost to register is $10.

Will there be food? - Yes! The cost covers a continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout. We also plan to have some gluten-free options. Please make us aware of allergies on your registration.

I don’t attend BCLR. Can I still come? - Absolutely! The conference is open to anyone who believes they would benefit from learning what the Bible says about counseling others.

Will there be childcare? - Yes, we are working to provide childcare on Saturday. Due to the ratios required by our church's Child Protection Policy, childcare will be provided for BCLR Members only.

Will this count towards my ACBC Certification? - Unfortunately, no this is not an ACBC Certification event; however, the topic will be vital to your counseling ministry.

Will this event be recorded? - Yes, we plan to record.
